About Chris

Chris joined the Headwater Realty team in 2014. His path to a career in Northern Michigan real estate was born out of a childhood love for camping and fishing throughout Michigan's lower peninsula river country. Raised in suburban Detroit, he summered on the shore of Lake Huron with his siblings in a full-log cabin built by his father in the 1940s at the mouth of the Au Sable. He left his family’s 96 acre grape and apple farm in 1996 to found a wine-production consulting firm that advised Leelanau County and Traverse are winery start-ups on production and product design decisions. He still maintains business contacts with many Traverse area wine and hard cider operations. He continues to advise buyers of both agricultural and residential properties in the Greater Grand Traverse Region.
